Transcribe and summarise a voice note on Android, no app

What WhatsApp transcription on Android does, and doesn't
WhatsApp's native transcription exists on Android since late 2024. In the stable version it supports a short list of languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi and Arabic. It runs on the phone after a language pack downloads, which is good for privacy.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't fill the gaps when recognition stumbles, and it doesn't summarise. You get the words it caught, in order, and the sorting is still up to you.
On iPhone, WhatsApp relies on Apple's speech recognition, which covers more languages, including French from iOS 16. That engine difference explains the gap between the two platforms. The other options on Android, and their real catch
Beyond forwarding to Abrège, two families of tools exist. Play Store apps first, like Transcriber for WhatsApp: they transcribe many languages, but you have to install an app, go through the Share menu for each voice note, and accept the ads or the free version's limits.
Web tools next: you export the voice note from WhatsApp, open a browser, upload the file, wait, copy the text. It works for a one-off message, much less for five a day. And uploading a loved one's voice to an unknown service raises a real privacy question, rarely mentioned.
